Inspirada is an urban themed master planned community sprawled across the far southern foothills of the Las Vegas Valley at the entrance to Sloan Canyon: 50,000 acres of federally protected land where ancient petro glyphs are set against a backdrop of the rugged desert canyons that are home to bighorn sheep, chuckwallas and desert tortoises.
Inspirada is the first community in Nevada to be created using “new urbanism” guidelines, a throwback to the times when everyone walked to work, schools, church and shopping all within the neighborhood. Instead of the typical suburban streets dominated by driveways, a majority of the homes will have real front porches for chatting with neighbors and rear alley garages. In the middle of the master plan will be a 300 acre town center with the community commercial district offering a full array of shops, markets, restaurants and services plus high density live/work spaces. Around the main town center will be seven “villages” of approximately 200 acres each built around its own central park and recreation center to encourage neighborhood gatherings and a closer knit community feeling.
Construction on Inspirada started in 2005 and the first home sales started in January of 2007. At completion, the community will have over 13,000 residences contained within the seven villages and just over 29,000 residents.
There are a wonderful variety of housing choices offered in Inspirada in keeping with the neo-traditional urban theme. From condos to brownstones to estate homes, residences range in size from a modest 1,087 square feet to over 4000 square feet.
The City Style Homes bring the convenience of city living to a suburban environment. These are attached single family homes with rear garages.
The Garden Style Homes are configured around a shared but intimate, lavishly landscaped interior courtyard bringing a touch of nature to residents.
The Mansion Style Homes are six individual condominium homes joined together to look like one massive estate home, with detailed architectural styling reminiscent of New York City’s grand residences.
The Village Style Homes are detached single family homes on small lots with no walls between the neighbors and garages off the rear alley ways, bringing to life the nostalgia of back East city neighborhoods.
The Estate Style Homes are magnificent single family residences with a wide variety of impressive architectural features and finishes and a dazzling array floor plans.
The Live/Work Space Residences combine retail offices or shops on the ground floor with chic city living on the upper floors, perfect for those that love the convenience of living and working in the same space.
